Whither Pulp of the Day?

So. I’ve got this domain working (obviously), CheapCaffeine.net is spewing out marginally humorous cartoons on a daily basis, Lousy Book Covers is all current (I’m still working on the archives, currently back to the summer of 2012), Cold Fusion Media has a placeholder page, Fifth Planet Design is at least aimed at the right host, and Cold Fusion Video Reviews ain’t coming back.

And what about PulpoftheDay.com?

Well, here’s the thing. In the interests of turning lemons into at least some passing semblance of lemonade, I’ve been wanting to simplify and scale back my web activities, especially those which have become a duty, rather than a pleasure.  And I think Pulp of the Day kinda qualifies.  It’s not really fun for me, though it is to some other people.  So I’m toying with just letting it be gone.

  1. Honestly, I’d prefer your Cold Fusion Video Reviews to return — either recover the existing ones and begin recycling them or just start fresh with new ones. I know that you have way too much on your plate to kick out video reviews weekly but I really miss them.

    1. Well, fresh ones ain’t gonna happen — I’ve found that I’ve got more than enough to fill my schedule without movie reviews. And frankly, I think I’m a happier person without forcing myself to watch sub-par “entertainment.”

    Have to confess I came out here looking for some reference to Pulp Of The Day’s status….I can understand completely if you opt not to continue it anymore. But, do let me issue a heartfelt Thank-you-so-very-much for all the efforts (and personal expense) you put into it over the years. It was a most enjoyable side track for me as a sometime contributor – both as an aficionado of old pulp and paperback covers, and as a failed hack writer who enjoyed the bang of seeing my name in print on your fine site during the course of a long/crappy work day.
