Last night was my daughter’s high school graduation. I’m sure other people write heartfelt retrospectives on the passage of time (to the tune of “Sunrise, Sunset”). Me, I do what I do whenever I have a long list of local names: list the “unique” Utah names!

My sister sent me a picture of a name she found in the program at my niece’s graduation. While not a particularly unique Utah name, it still has a je ne sais quoi: Beau Daggett.
Maybe, the kid’s surname is pronounced with a French accent.
What would be even more perfect? It’s a girl.
