Many voices are saying “something” needs to be done. I agree. There are things which must be done to heal our society.
- Marry the father/mother of your child — preferably before there’s a pregnancy. Treat that as a commitment beyond all other commitments.
- Realize that civilizing your children is your greatest responsibility.
- Acknowledge the existence of objective good and objective evil, and commit to the good, consciously and publicly.
- Accept that humans are social beings, and need a functional, supportive, physically present community to be well. Screens don’t count.
- Stop celebrating perversity, obscenity and degeneracy under the false label of “authenticity.”
- Don’t seek your self-worth in “diversity” that you force others to acknowledge. If humanity is of any value, then what is of most worth in you is what you have in common with others.
There are other things. But start with these and the others will become apparent to you.
And if you object that I’m not addressing the actual problem… you’ve just admitted that you don’t know what the actual problem is.
“Acknowledge the existence of objective good and objective evil, and commit to the good, consciously and publicly.”
Heh…my psychology teacher from my Geography college days–I ended up switching majors to IT stuff–would object to that. She–and I’m guessing many in her profession (among others)–very much accepted the “What you do is generally not wrong if it’s YOUR REALITY” and all that bulls***. “Doing drugs isn’t inherently bad if it’s your reality,” is something she once said in an auditorium. Nutcase.
We have a term for people who insist on their own reality.
“INSANE.”
