And here I am, with proof in hand that Empire of the ‘B’s, the first volume of the huge Charles Band opus on which I collaborated, exists in our corner of the multiverse.
(Also, proof that my phone’s camera sucks big time.)
For some reason, Empire of the ‘B’s isn’t on Amazon yet; the only two sources of which I know are the Hemlock Books website and from Charles Band himself (whoops, he’s sold out).
This book is really only about a third of what Dave, Torsten and I wrote; if this one sells well, then possibly a second volume will tackle the rest. Why not two volumes? Because the second third is the “classic” Full Moon era up until 1995, when the cancellation of the Paramount distribution deal caused the budgets to fall precipitously; the final third, covering all the post-Paramount output, contains far fewer iconic productions, and probably wouldn’t garner enough interest on its own. (I doubly want another volume to come out because the majority of my contribution to the project was in that final third; in contrast, about three of my reviews are in Empire of the ‘B’s.)
Anyway. As soon as it’s available domestically, I’ll let you know.
